When John Currie Lloyd was born on 16 December 1849, in Columbus, Oshawa, Ontario, Ontario, Canada, his father, William Lloyd, was 32 and his mother, Margaret Currie, was 24. He married Kittie May Teetzel in 1871. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. He lived in Chester, Thayer, Nebraska, United States in 1920 and Lutherville, Baltimore, Maryland, United States in 2009. He died in 1927, at the age of 78, and was buried in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Seward, Nebraska, United States.
