Nelson Hathaway was born the 9th of April in 1863 in Iowa to John W. and Ellen (Starr) Hathaway. He was married to Lois G. (Dryden) (Hathaway) McHoes in 1894 at Curtis, Nebraska. Nelson is a brother of George W., Samuel E., James Franklin, and Sarah E. (Hathaway) Hibbs. Further information can be found at www.historicfarnam.us. This previously unmarked grave joins three other flat stone grave markers of the Hathaway family placed by the Farnam Cemetery with memorial money from the Farnam Centennial Committee.
