James Franklin Hathawy was born in February 21, 1866 to John W. and Ellen (Starr) Hathaway in Iowa. James married Ida Wollam in 1907 and four children were born to this union. He died September 27, 1918 near Stockville, Nebraska. He was buried in an unmarked grave until this flat marker stone was placed by the Farnam Cemetery with memorial money from the Farnam Centennial Committee.
