Rosemarie Schmidt, 86, of Tekamah died May 30, 1998 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services were June 3 at Emmanual Lutheran Church in Tekamah. Burial was in the Craig Cemetery.
Rosemarie Thunn was born June 17, 1911, at Fort Calhoun to George and Marie (Mordhorst) Thunn. She grew up in the Fort Calhoun area and attended Green School.
On Feb. 7, 1935, she married Ernest H. Schmidt in Omaha. They lived in Elkhorn for 10 years. They moved to a farm near Craig in 1945. They moved to Tekamah in 1976.
She is survived by one son, Melvin and his wife, Phyllis, of Craig; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Petersen of Tehachapi, Calif., and Irene Lewis of Riddle, Okla.; and one brother, Lester Thunn of Fort Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, in 1988; her parents; one brother, Arthur; and infant brother, George, and sister, Helena.
