The Maggie Harrold Murphy (Nov. 15, 1842- July 15, 1896) family gravestones at Calvary Cemetery Chadron, NE All 3 gravestones are inscribed on the face and the top of all 3 stones has the individuals name. Margaret Muprhy is the stone on the far Right. It is inscribed "Wife of JT Murphy..." The other stones shown are her son James A. Murphy and her nephew John S. Murphy. Margaret Murphy is the wife of Jaqmes T. Murphy who was originally buried at Boot Hill Cemetery in Valentine Nebraska and was later moved to Calvary Cemetery in Chadron, NE. by his daughter Cora S. Murphy. James T. Murphy is buried next to Margaret in an unmarked grave. There has been much confusion as to the James T. Murphy family, showing multiple gravestones should help to clarify the relationship. John S. Murphy is not the son of James T. Murphy -he is the Nephew of James T. & Margaret Murphy. John S. Murphy was the son of Simon & Ellen Harrold Murphy. Proven by Census records and marriage records.
