Charles Grant Parmenter was born April 3, 1867 near Summum, IL. He and his family came to the Ashland area of E. Nebraska in the Spring of 1872 where his father, Sampson farmed near an older son, George Westlake Parmenter. Charles married Emma Smith in 1902 and in 1919, moved his family to a farm North of Mitchell. He died in 1944.
Emma Smith was born Oct 14, 1877 in Iowa, died Sept 14, 1951.
