Lyons Weekly Sun, Lyons, Nebraska, Wednesday, January 2, 1901
Died-On Sunday Dec. 30th at her home northeast of Lyons, Mrs. Jane Doolittle aged 60 years 2 months and 28 Days. Jane Vreeland was born in Seneca county, New York, Oct. 2nd 1840 and was married to Israel Doolittle at Packwankee, Wis., April 8th 1860. In Sept. 1879 the family removed to Nebraska where they have since resided. The husband and six children survive to mourn the loss of the departed. The interment was in the Lyons cemetery.
