NE of Tilden, Nebraska,One mile east and about two miles north, on a hill, East side of the road. 536 Ave & 844 ½, ¼ mile North on 536 Ave.
The cemetery was named for the settlement of Warren, Nebraska, which was located one fourth mile south and one mile east of this location. There was a post office, general store and a church, all of which is long gone. Somewhere along the way the cemetery was referred to as the Howard Cemetery. There was a M L Howard who owned land around the cemetery in the 1890's. It then went by the name Howard until somewhere in the 1960's when the name was changed back to the Warren Cemetery. It is said that somewhere in the early 1900's many people were moved from this cemetery to the Tilden - IOOF Cemetery and other cemeteries in the area. The exact reason for the bodies being moved is lost to time. The cemetery has been cared for since the 1960's by Raymond Kary Larson of Norfolk, NE.
