John was born Mar. 7, 1863, Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois
Death: Feb. 18, 1918, Rockford, Gage County, Nebraska
John was the son of David M Hadley b. 6/16/1830 Sandusky Co., Ohio, d. 2/24/1924 Beatrice, Gage, Nebraska, and Mary J Ellen Shick [Hadley] 4/20/1833 Stark Co., Ohio, d. Beatrice, Gage Nebraska.
John was a Blacksmith and a Carpenter. He built his own house and helped build the Church of the Brethren in Holmesville. One time in abt. 1910 - 1913 Buffalo Bill Cody stopped by for a visit.
John Elmer Hadley and Clarissa Ann Brown had 13 Children. All born in Gage County, Nebraska, most all in, Holmesville.
