This photo shows the Grove of Hope, a newly designed section just inside the wrought iron fence of the Resurrection Cemetery. It was designed by Jeff Sterba, general manager of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Omaha..
The graves will be clustered around each tree with name plaques placed on the stone squares that ring each tree.
A fuller description of the Grove of Hope can be found on the front page of the Living Section of the Omaha World Herald, May 24, 2008. This design is perhaps the first established in the United States, based upon a concept discovered in Australia by Mr. Sterba.
