Following obituary is from the Dawes County Historical Museum, Chadron, Nebraska.
Funeral Mrs. Edith Reed to Be Held Friday 24th.
Funeral services will be held here Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the Erlewine Funeral Home for Mrs. Edith Reed, wife of Walter S. Reed, well known former residents of the city. They spent the last winter in California with their sons, Walter, Jr. and Marion, and just recently returned to Nebraska.
Death Came to Mrs. Reed at Grand Island Tuesday of this week. She had been in failing health all winter and just last Thursday underwent an operation at Grand Island. She is survived by her husband and two sons.
