I did not find a grave marker with a name within this fence.
However, a person familiar with the Beguin Cemetery said she was confident that this fence enclosed the grave of Fannie Pochon Sandoz 1865 - 1906 who was the wife of "Little Paul" E. Sandoz. Little Paul Sandoz was the nephew of Paul Sandoz. My informant said she obtained this information from Fritz Sandoz and wrote it down 40 years ago.
However, another person who is also quite familiar with this cemetery tells me that the oral history she has heard over the years is that the person buried within this fence is a Mr. Hanson who had tuberculoses and was sent west for his health. This Mr. Hanson was related to the Marcy family.
Before receiving the above information, I thought the information below might be related. I am leaving it here in case it is of interest to viewers.
The Webpage noted below contains the following information:
“Obit: William Sandoz died May 15, 1926. He was born in Canton Neuchatel, Switzerland, on Oct. 10, 1861. Buried at Beguin Cemetery in Minnetonka precinct.”
I DO NOT KNOW if this fence encloses the resting place for William Sandoz. I found no other gravestone for William Sandoz. (Later: A viewer who has visited this cemetery tells me that the gravestone for Wm. Sandoz, is for William.)
