Alice Endora Havens

1870-1902

Miss Alice Havens died at the home of her parents, Fifteenth and M streets, yesterday noon, after an illness of several weeks. She had been a teacher in the public schools in South Omaha eleven years. At the time of death she was principal of the High school annex. Last week Miss Havens was considerably better and was able to attend her school, but evidently the exertion proved too much for her strength, for she was taken worse on Sunday and all efforts of physicians to rally her proved unavailing. On account of her long service in the schools Miss Havens was one of the best known teachers in the city and was exceedingly popular. ~Omaha Daily Bee, March 11, 1902
