Farewell, dear babe, you have left us,
On this earth to mourn for thee
We shall miss your loving presence,
In your home that used to be.
You have a home far dearer,
Than the one you had with us.
For the Father is kind and loving
To the children of his trust.
Darling baby, he has left us,
Left us, yes, forevermore.
But we hope to meet our loved one.
On the bright and happy shore.
