My father, Emil J. Huhman was born June 27, 1907 at St. Elizabeth, MO, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Boedecker Huhmann. On Jan. 20, 1932, he married Theresa A. Ortmeier at Monterey. He farmed near West Point before moving to Columbus in 1956. Mr Huhman was employed at Pat's Store for Homes before his retirement. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Emil Jr.(Barbara) and James (Mari) both of Columbus; three daughters, Veronica (Norman) Kiuntke, of Columbus, Agnes ( Cornelius) Kelly of Pinedale, WY, Catherine (Florian)Placzek of Omaha; 26 grandchildren; two sisters, Sophie Huhmann and Agnes (Ben) Schaefer, both of St. Louis, MO. Mr. Huhman was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and two sisters.
