Dr. Arthur Earl Carlsen, DDS practiced dentistry for many years in Whittier, Calif., but retired to his home town of Ord. As a young man he piloted B-17 bombers over Germany in World War Two. His gravestone is only a marker, he was never buried; his body was donated to the college of dentistry in Omaha, NE. He was b 13 Aug 1922 in Ord, NE, and died there 26 May 1996. Son of Carl Alfred Carlsen and wife Pearl May Jones. Wife #1: Wilma Aileen "Billie" Hamman of Kansas. Wife #2: Catherine Mary "Cathy" Timmerman of Canada. After Art's death Cathy married Duwane Leroy Wilson of Ord. Art's marker is beside the grave of his father, and the marker for his brother Paul T. Carlsen who died at sea in WW2.
