LANDSLIDE KILLS TWINS
Laurence and Loretta, six year old twin children, of Frank Bart, met almost instant death last Monday evening, says the Crofton Journal. A large bank of dirt caved off and covered them, crushing and suffocating them.
The five children of the family were playing on the creek bank about seven o'clock. The older girl with a baby in her arms had just crossed to the other side of the creek, when the earth gave away, thus escaping injury. The three remaining children were caught, one of them being not so deeply covered, was rescued with but slight injuries.
The twins were completely covered and were smothered before aid could reach them.
