“The first social event to take place in the new Community Hall was on June 12, 1925. Peter and Anna Chrisoffersen served a dinner to the entire community in honor of the marriage of their daughter, Agnes, to Carl Andreasen, and to observe their own silver wedding anniversary. After dinner, the rafters rang to the wee hours of the morning as the fiddlers kept the merry-makers flying across the newly finished pine floors until they dropped in joyous exhaustion.
