What is known as the Marquis Cemetery is located off a dirt road SE of Allen. Years ago the plot was surrounded with a wrought iron fence, and the landowner at the time tore it down and planned on plowing the graves under. Neighbors stopped that, and for some reason instead of putting the fence back up he poured a cement slab over the area.
Names and family history are now known and will be detailed here at a later date, as there is a project under way to place a marker on the site.
