Infant son of Gustav and Anna Schroeder

Pierce County Call; Pierce, Nebraska; Friday, March 15, 1895
Schroeder – Lawrence, the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schroeder, died on Thursday morning, March 14, 1895, of spasms, aged eight months.

Sad and mournful indeed is the once happy home of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schroeder. Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Schroeder took her baby boy and went to her fathers, Mr. Philip Fuesz, for a short visit. The little one played about, seemingly in the best of health but a change took place about supper time and he began to cry. The mother took him in her arms and saw that he was sick. Continuing to grow worse the father was immediately sent for, but before he could arrive the little fellow breathed his last. The illness lasted but four or five hours. This is the second loss that has come to Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder – the first being the death of a pair of bright and beautiful twins. Little Lawrence was the pride and joy of the young fathers and mother’s hearts, and in this their sad and unutterable loss they sympathy of many friends is extended. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at one o’clock at the residence of Mr. Philip Fuesz.
