This cemetery is located on a hilltop in the far northwest corner of Dundy county on the Kerst ranch 2+ miles south of the intersection of Ave 310 (NE-CO state line) and Rd 724 which is 2 miles south of the Chase county line. Please request permission when visiting.
GPS reading: North 40 degrees, 17.678 minutes; West 102 degrees, 03.026 minutes.
Elevation: 3,644.
George Kerst is standing at the head of the grave site of his parents, Harold "Stub" and Virdie, who preferred to be buried on the ranch. Just to the right of the picture is a beautiful log home which George built himself. It is very impressive.
I would never have found this location by myself. George was very kind to drive me to this hilltop on a rather chilly and windy day.
