Obituary

Augusta Matilda Bjorling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bjorling, was born in Kearney county, Neb., April 22nd, 1892 and died in her home near Farnam, Neb., surrounded by parents, brothers and sisters on the evening of July 18th, 1916. Thus reaching the age of 24 years, two months and 28 days.

A little over two years ago she had to go to southern California for her health. Here she came in contact with spiritual people and attended the first Pentecostel church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, Calf. Her own testimony as found written in her Bible, which her lifeless form clasped to her bosom and made an indelible impression upon all friends who viewed her remains in the casket, and seemed to voice in silence these words; "the Christ of this Bible took me through," will speak of her soul´s relation to God. It is as follows: "I was converted in Pasadena, Calif., April 11, 1914 in the First Pentecostal church of the Nazarene during Bud Robinson´s meeting. I was sanctified wholly in the same church in May, 1914, and I united with the First Pentecostal church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, Calf., July 19, 1914."

In the absence of the pastor, Rev. J. N. Smith, Theodore and Minnie E. Ludwing, friends of the family, were requested to conduct the funeral Thursday at 1 o´clock. Her remains were laid to rest in the Farnam cemetery, where they await the resurrection of the Saints of God.
