Son of Earl and Effie Osborne Imler
Cecil enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1941 and served many months in the South Pacific during World War II. Following his discharge, he lived in Texas and Missouri before moving to Nebraska.
While living in Missouri, he met and married Shirley A. Nelson. To this union one son, Earl, was born. His wife died in 1979 and his son died in 1980.
